Took a bit of work with a custom spacer tube to get the right amount of clearance on the chain side, which meant I ended up not using the lock ring on the motor shaft as there was not enough thread left. I wanted to use a 46 tooth chainring for proper cadence at about 50kph so the chain line isn’t perfect at the lower gears, but still very acceptable. It tops out at about 60kph at the moment, which is totally fine. 🙂
Added a wired 12v lighting system that runs of a dc step down converter, and it has the break and shift sensor installed as well. No throttle, but I find it much easier to ‘ghost pedal’ so the motor applies 100% torque and let it do all the work if needed.

What I started with, already installed the Schwalbe Marathon 2.25 tyres, which have a puncture protection layer and are extremely hard wearing.
Solid aluminium mounting plate, glued to the battery mount to keep movement to a minimum. Found the stamped metal insert to be insufficient.
